Sad part is that a lot of the problems driver experience are self inflicted.

They want to start out at top $ in BRAND NEW equipment and yet if it breaks down * AND IT DOES * its the companies fault, they want miles so they hire on with OTR outfits but then want to be home every night.

1 poster noted he has been with a certain outfit 5 WHOLE MONTHS :biggrin_2554: and think that means stamina , that just means you have 7 months to go before you have your 1st year in with them no more no less.

Same as all you hear / read is about this place or that place screwing them over and making them sit * NEWS FLASH - FREIGHT HAS SLOWED DOWN * I would hate to try and get freight for 25 trucks not to think of some places with 2500 - 18000 trucks right now.

Go start out in a trade and see where on the TOTEM POLE you start out ( bottom ) and the crap you have to do.

The worst thing a driver can do when he's feeling sorry for his self is to set in a truck stop and cry about his job.You just feel worst.
Your tared pissed off and chances are the driver your talking to is having the same kind of day.
First take you a shower . Something light to eat. Call home and don't complain about your day they probity had a bad day too. Now go take a nap before you quite your job.
I thank you will have a better day tomorrow driver.

I have what I call a trouble cap. When I call home or get home I take that trouble cap off and leave it in the truck.
Drive safe and Happy Holiday's Driver's

While you have completely mangled the english language, I see your point. However, if you read what people continually write on here about the same companies, it makes you wonder.

Have you looked out how they are paid? Do you see how much time they give up working for free while still being on duty? The costs incurred on the road? The lack of time away from family? The cost of their benefits?

I think the majority of these drivers have legitimate complaints. Unfortunately, I really don't see this changing anytime soon. There are too many drivers who are willing to fill in behind those that leave.

Doesn't look to good to me.

Yes I know I have a problem with my writing's. But if I would have stayed in school instead of wanting to drive a truck .

Hmmm, some folks may think you have a problem with your writing. And it may not all be grammatically correct.

But the ideas I have seen you put forth on many subjects tell me that you have one heck of a lot of common sense, along with you life's experiences. I look forward to seeing your posts on this forum.

I have known many folks with fancy college/university degrees, that don't have the common sense of a piss ant.

    Thanks Big Don
If they only new how hard it is for me to type this. After 40+ years and 4 million miles. I had to retire from trucking.
I have congestive heart failure and Muscular Degeneration in my eyes and have trouble just seeing the keys at times. If you notice I have to edit a lot because of my mistakes so I know I have this problem and if it offends anyone you will just have to live with it.
I thank it upset some because I tell it like it is. In my own uneducated way.:biggrin_25525:
