If that keeps happening, eventually a doctor visit is going to be like this

Funny thread. This may sound crazy but you need to bring a knife to a gun fight.

Yep, if someone has a gun drawn on you and is asking for your wallet, or whatever, you have the advantage. Say, “Easy man! You can have it...”

    Then give it to them.

I've owned guns rifles of course and only used for hunting not personal protection we'd often go roo shooting on the sugar cane farm we had and my father would take around 5 shots to down a roo with a .22 short unless it was a head shot that was at around 150 metres he bought .22 magnum this was a little better but still not enough stopping power not until we purchased a Marlin 30/30 that'd hit a roo and it'd flip over backwards at 150 m the point being with a .22 even a .38 they don't really have much stopping power on a larger target like a person unless your less than 20 metres.away.

You should come over here into the United States and try a older 1800's era Sharps .45-70

BOOM 1000 yards PLINK a Bison and drop same. You may or may not have a functional shoulder but you will get that dinner.

Our state is apparently the first in the Nation to require State Police to build and administer a course of training to enhance licensing for carrys against active shooters and interaction with police. Due to a flub in wording we may have to recommit the bill back to the Legislature which meets again in 2019. If that happens then nothing will proceed until the entire Legislature agrees on changes or removal of certain language in the law as it stands today. It's not a real big deal and at the same time it is a big deal.

Until they sort that out, it's business as usual.

There is a problem with the Conceal National Carry in front of the senate. It was revealed that certain databases such as the VA for Mental Health and Social Security for mental health and for payees (Those who have a third party designated gaurdian that handles the monthly benefits) will be used in addition to the Military being more careful to upload problem service persons who are kicked out such as the Sutherland Springs shooter was. Was built into the bill by Fienstien and company who are rabid antigunners. Such actions in the VA and SS data bases will identify for the first time certain gun owners who will then face confiscation should this bill become law.

I still do not expect this bill to survive the senate because it requires a 60 vote majority to pass.

As far as some of you talking blade against gun, it's very valid. There is a particular drill called the Teuller drill. (Spelling). Scenario Knifer can reach you in three or four steps from 21 feet. Can you draw and have rounds downrange before he sinks the blade into you. (Training knife) you will be shooting downrange at a paper target while the knifer is attacking you from the side across the range booths. The round or rounds you fire must be on that target center mass before the training blade touches you.

21 feet is about 3 parking spaces wide if you were in a typical parking lot. Generally if you are within say 50 feet you are already dealing with a potential problem.

Just remember if a bad guy has made it too close for you to do anything shoving a gun into your gut, you are not lost. There are certain ways to remove that gun from his hands in a moment and others that will disable the semi automatic from firing. (Pushing the muzzle a little bit, it moves slide back and disconnects the fire control of that gun.) but at this point you better need something to back it up because one of you are not going to make it the rest of the life time.

.45-70 would make a kangaroo levitate.

But that’s exactly my point. Use an appropriate size caliber for what you’re hunting.

You can I’m sure you could kill an elephant with a .22 if you were cruel enough.

I use uplulas to load em, don't take but a minute. Load 7, fire em all load more. Whoops out of bullets in the box. Hey where did all that ammo go? ha.

I am NOT a 1000 yard shooter. Im happy just to land a 500 out of a repeater somewhere within 150 yards.
