Too many truckers these days. How can it be a viable career?

Amen brother! We built this country only to give it to a bunch of liberal kids. I can't wait till they see what kind of fool they were by giving everything they worked for away. That is, if they worked. Good thing about getting older, you wise up fast.

I don't dislike humans, I dislike stupid humans. I live in the country, not as off track as that by any means. I could be dead here and no one would know it for weeks except perhaps the people that call me might come looking to see why I didn't answer. I hate to see the children that allow others to bully them and do nothing except commit suicide. Their parents have failed the miserably in MHO. My parents taught me to stand up for myself and others that were weaker. I was bullied, but by God I gave them something to think about. Eventually they learned that it was a bad idea to pick on the little half deaf blonde girl because she would not allow it. Respect has to be earned, demanded, and commanded. These new drivers in their flip flops pants hanging so low that we know what their underwear looks like whether we want to or not. Ear rings that I could shoot a deer slug through I guess I'm on the soap box and better step down before I get really wound up.

I can't believe this thread has gone on and on. When... There is such a shortage of truckers. Last summer, a $3 to $5 a mile load, could easily be picked up in the midwest. Those rates were due to a shortage of trucks. Thus truckers.
    Hello? Anybody awake?

    Hm. Interesting.

In my time the deafie was bullied (That's me) in a large public school with about 2000 farm kids who do not have any comprehension of those in special ed. One difference though, I fight. And pretty much the lot of them bullies have a few thumps to consider from me in many of those fights. Unfortunately many in special ed class (About 20 or so...) were not fighters. So they got bullied to the point of becoming shadows unfortunately. I hate to say it it's good practice for what was coming in trucking from time to time going into bad places. Only it's not a rap on the wrist at the principal. It;s the law coming if someone managed to call them.

I actually changed schools by request to Frederick County MSD to essentially stop a potential few more years of fighting very tough farm boys who were bigger, stronger etc in many ways. In a way I am glad to have gone through that. No one told me I cannot misbehave or cause trouble. But when trouble came, well... I fought. And did so without worry. I did not win them all though. But they got thumped as I did.

I visited both schools many years later in life, and discovered that the state and so forth has created a sort of a heaven where bullies have no place and the kids don't know what to do when stressed over one. It has made a large impact on my view towards millenials in general. I choose to look to those who have served in our wars and did well. We made a attempt to hire those for paid jobs around our home and lands where it's very peaceful for them as they do the work and deal with PTSD etc. I would be pleased to hire them again in a heartbeat because they are skilled and will go far in life.

Ive said my two cents. I hope that this encourages you. Fighting is not everything. But the Bullies must be thumped when necessary because it teaches them humility and to be .. literally better humans. Even a Mouse fights back really hard.
