First off, listen to what people on here tell you with a grain of salt. I've found that there are very few who will actually give you accurate information. Everyone else will just feed you BS.

I will tell you that TMC was one of the companies I was going to go with, till i found out you had to already have gone thru training and HAVE a Class A CDL before being hired on/entered into training/orientation. From the looks of it, they have good equipment. I just chose not to go there because I could not afford to put myself thru the local community college's truck driving class. The school is good, you have nothing to worry about. Not to mention the hotel you'll be staying at, looks 4 star.

I would like to hear which TMC poster is feeding anyone BS! As a TMC driver I can tell you myself, Rawlco, ezkc among other tell you the truth without embelishing it, state fact as fact and opinion as opinion from our own unuique perspetive. Of course there have been a few drive bys posting on here. They don't seem to last long when the light of truch is shined on them.

From your post, I gather your one and only complaint about TMC is that won't sponser you through a CDL school. You realize that a majority of the trucking companies will not do this. Do you now have a beef with every one of those?

Several posters have offered suggestions on how to get your CDL school funded with little out of pocket expense to you. From what I see, you would rather complain about TMC that to do a little leg work and get your CDL. I really hate to say this (no I don't,) but you are looking less and less like what TMC is looking for in a driver.

Having said all this, I am not trying to discourage anyone posting anything negative about TMC. If you have a legitimate or perceived complaint, air it and let's discuss it. Maybe we can offer some insight. I do not think TMC is perfect. I have complaints. I also have an open mind. Later, when I have had time to think about it or have additional information I see that I am in error.

First off, read my post carefully. i said:

Where in there do I say ANYTHING about "TMC posters". If I had the ability to do so, I would have gone to TMC....as they are right here in my home town. I am not bashing TMC, or "TMC posters"....I am simply saying there are ALOT of people on here who make judgements based upon someone elses opinion. And most often that opinion is made without any facts.

Just saying 'dont take anybody's opinion as the bible'.

    Oklahoma,
I think you have a good chance of being hired by TMC as long as Slime inc didn't slam your DAC with any bad info.

I been to thier orientation for 2 weeks. It seemed alltright. If you are afraid of hights then it may not be good for you. you have to chain and strap and tarp the loads yourself. Other than that they are a good company to go with but it is kind of alot of work. I believe you average about 5 to 6 loads a week. Every load will be different. All in all TMC seems like a good company and it probably is a good company. they all have the 13 speed transmission they mabe a little easier than the tens. If you can go with like dry van. Then after then mabe reconcider TMC.

Brother the driver will have to tarp all loads for him/her self. I don't know of any company that pays someone other than the driver to tarp a load. Someone else may know, but I don't. Tarping is like an atheletic event. Load securment is like a sovable problem. It all takes some thought and practice. TMC is like anyother company, it is what you make of it. All of these companies are in business to deliver freight and it is a tough and demanding job. Just listen to the trainers and pay attention to what you are doing and you should do fine.
