I just ran a 1992 W900b quad axle with only 436,000 miles on it from Wisconsin down to Kentucky. Company is thinking of getting rid of it because they are starting to have a hard time finding parts.

I'll be starting on my A model dream build as soon as I get a shop up next spring. Gonna use a early 60's small window cab with a 60" flat top sleeper. All will be air ride. Starting with a new set of rails. Will be around a 280" wheelbase with a canadian spread on either pete or nuway low leaf. Will probalby be a extended hood, But I have talked to a couple people about producing me a extended hood narrow nose. Also unsure if I can fit a acert under the hood if I had the long narrow hood built. Also cooling could be a issue with the narrow nose. Thinking of running a 10 speed with a 4 speed brownie behind it. I have a buddy that has a truck set up that way only is a super ten. I have driven it a couple times and really liked the setup.

One of my first trucks was a 67 A model. Think it was a 925 A model narrow nose, can't remember for sure. It was pretty much built as a glider. Put a big cam4 in it and a 13 speed. Added a lift axle and used it to haul containers on a four axle super chassis. Should have put an air ride under it but never got around to it. It had the reyco spring suspension on it. I sure do miss that truck. A friend has it now and started to redo it. Got it all torn a part and there it sits. He sanded it all down and added daylight doors to it, which I didn't think I'd like but they actully look pretty good on it. Now it has sat for the last few years. I have thought about buying it and using it to build but I really want a small window cab for some reason.

i looked at one a while back. but it was a lot more of a project than i wanted to take on. they are a good looking truck though. i wouldn't mind running something like that some day.

I didn’t know that was possible, but I’ll certainly second this if it is.

Yes, there are companies that make new steel rails, you can buy them cut to length with no wholes or even get them with holes punched and ready to bolt together.

I still have mine but she is just a yard ornament, fixing to sell her to open up room for me to bring another K100 home.
