Almost every trucking company pays their drivers for recruiting a new driver which is why most people do it otherwise they would not want the competition for loads.

That isn't the point. I did the SAME thing when I worked for Heartland, BUT I did not use someone ELSE to do it! Heck, they make $500/head off a driver and don't even think to donate to us to help keep us running? Nope, and we're not going to sit here and get used. Enough on this and if I hear griping on it again, I'll ban who does. I am fed up and I am not going to answer crap like this anymore. drzebra came on after only SEVEN posts since 2007 to write a big, long post wanting to spam Prime again...BANNED.

Seems like there is a HATE on for PRIME , as far as anyone being a recruiter thats possible with any company that gets a positive posting on here or any site.

A lot of unverified stuff gets posted and I still say 50% of the postings are bogus , many have never worked for the companies they list as BAD.

OK.. now that alot of the positives I,ve been reading about Prime are subjective at best, how about some legitimate info.
If an O/O goes with prime, you keep your own authority correct ?? At JB Hunt, you go under their authority. That would save me approximately $4500/yr. Both have QC fees. Hunt claims their per mile works out higher but I do agree the reefer business will probably hold up better doing this slow time. Where do Prime O/O's run ?? Most of Hunt's business is in the middle of the country.
I welcome all suggestions etc. Running under my own authority and not being very experienced at working the load boards, I need suggestions.

True. Well you don't have to work for a company to know they are bad. Heck truckers are always around other truckers and see all this without even having to be told.

One thing for sure is, I do NOT care if anyone talks good about ANY company. There are always idiots out there to be sure. I have seen some of the DUMBEST drivers take some of the worst crap I have ever seen in all my life...and like it. I guess they either don't know better or are just truly dumb.

Heck, if we cared about people talking good about Prime, why would we leave this thread up? The point here is NOT about talking good about Prime. This Steve character sat there mocked us, we let him stay...then we removed his sig because he wouldn't listen...THEN he makes a big, long post belittling us for HIM not following rules and flat out ignoring us. NO WAY.

This site isn't about ME or Mods...this site is about ALL of us, whether you like or dislike a company. My opinion is just like any others. Yes, I despise Prime. I have seen what they have done over many years and they are a horrible company IMHO. See, that is my opinion. You like Prime? GREAT! Tell us you like them and they are the best ever!

Fact is, this Steve was PISSED that we stopped him from recruiting. He had his truck# in his sig and then would say Prime is greatest...PS, use my truck # in sig once you get on. So, all he wanted was $ and was acting like a little kid in Wal-Mart that wasn't going to get his lead-lined toy from China...wah wah wah.

Don't let people tell you all we don't let good things about ANY company...know the whole story. Hell, search the forums...there is PLENTY good about companies that ARE junk, but we let their opinions stay. So, this Steve was what you call "chaff," we want "wheat" and the "chaff" can rock on somewhere else to act stupid.

So, like Prime? Let us know! But you aren't going to simply blow smoke up our tails for a buck.

As for your authority and running for Prime. That is what I do at the moment. I kept my authority etc. I have other plans and freight I am pursuing for the furutre but right now it isnt materializing and the freight that I was finding was for a buck a mile no fuel etc. It sucks out here big time right now but at least with Prime at the moment they have freight and try to get as much as they can for it.

You do have the option of running under their authority but I think if you do the math at the lower rate you will get it is more than a wash to let authority go. I like the fact I can pull my trucks at anytime with a months notice. I am sure I could pull sooner if need be but the many benefiets I am getting with Prime at the moment is very nice. We have use of all of their facilities, their discounts etc. throughout the country. It is nice to have a drop yard to go to in certain cities etc. that I never had before, it is also nice to know if my truck breaks down I do not have to panic about being late as they have the ability to repower the load. Some large advantages for a small company.

As for Steve, here is my .02 and you can take it however you like. I searched for the posts that you said he spouted off etc or may have ruffled your feathers and could not find them. I know him personally and take a lot offense to the way you are characterizing him. If he went against your rules, then he broke your rules and that is it, end of story. I understand your point of the sig and all but to the readers of this forum you are making yourself look like a little cry baby by the way you handled this. I mean no disrespect to you or the moderators but you all need to act your age on this matter. If you feel you were wronged then that is your opinion, but from the readers side I could not see any wrong doing unless you have deleted threads containing that info. If that is what you did then again you shot yourself in the foot cause the evidence does not exist for the readers to understand and respect your decisions. Perhaps it may not be the readers decision anyway and if that is the case you should have never allowed yourself to comment on why you made the decision you did. If this is your sandbox then it is yours and you can do with it as you wish. I do find you trying to justify your decisions to the readers a bit childish and certainly very unprofessional just like most of the drivers we hear on the radio. You have a great forum, I do a lot more reading than I do writing but one thing is for certain, do not make a matter like this personal, because right or wrong, in the end the only one who looks foolish is you and it could have been avoided by letting those rant and they would get over it. As I said earlier, I know Steve, he is a great guy and I could not see this going the way you claim but hey everyone has a bad day. Lets not make this one last any longer and respect everyone who writes on your boards. Just remember, if you make a decision based on the rules and it is not personal, then you do not have to explain it to anyone except the parties involved and that is it.

Enough about Steve & Lo. The members that did not understand why they were banned got their explanation. Yes, insulting posts got deleted or edited. Majority of the bad attitude displayed over the requested removal of personal information from the signature line was behind the scenes. NO personal information is allowed to be posted openly on the forum by ANYONE. They are gone, end of story.
