New contract renewal

    I dont know...with some of the folks I've run into over there..it wouldn't surprise me one bit it they did that thinking they can't say no....i.e. fmr co driver....

    Even as a company driver who is being held by the short and curlies until mid Feb, I still don't put up with most of their crap. Had one of the lead DBL s try to pull a load off of me (which I had already negotiated with the dispatcher) because it was "a great load". Basically told him to put my original load back on me......nicely.

    Needless to say I got my original load back and went on my way. I'll let them push a little mostly because I'm under contract but when I already have a dispatch worked out because of personal needs and they want to change it.....the can kiss my tuckus and I'll go home for the night instead and start again the next morning.

    Sorry for the rant. Point was even company drivers can say "no" and have their limits.

    I agree I say and is I Have come across some company drivers who went Ic And believe that they have to let sni Run their business for them.... And from what I've recently I've heard there are so many over there that are barely making it week to week On that I would say it's 50/50 With blame between the driver and the company. ... And what's been happening is by design

    First of all...if you look at the whole program over time..they used to have great rates just about across the board...yes they had some garbage loads as any place will...in the 2yrs i spent on it i watched a pattern of behavior where if you ran a pattern, after a while those loads would disappear..the great rate ones...once they figured out how good that lane was the co trucks started running them..

    i got them to admit that on audio tape as to why i had a load "cancel"...i knew it didn't cancel, regular pick up out of the house...p&g load...also Laredo, the yard would have at least 4 long rows of loaded trls of northbound loads yet very little <50 loads on the board yet co trks constantly coming in and out...

    Basically they want it to go back to legacy but call it choice because now they don't pay dh...

    They have gotten so many co drivers who know absolutely nothing about running a business that they can throw $1.20mi and those folks are giddy as heck...there was a purpose for flooding the program...now we all see it...executive level mgt has gotten greedy to the point they don't care whatsoever whst happens...

    Unfortunately this has all been said in the past while it was happening, yet drivers believed it could never happen and yet here it is.

    I'm only here for convenience and nothing else. When it's no longer convenient I'll be gone too.
