LOL, yeah I was afraid of that! What worries me the most is the 40 percent chance of rain showers forecast for tomorrow, followed by snow showers on Wednesday, which to me means you could have water on the ground turning to ice then covered by snow! No fun!!![]()

Ya your biggest concen actually isnt the Rochester area, its thr 45 mile stretch from Fredonia to Buffalo buț you look clear thru there so I doubt its to bad. That area west of Buffalo is horrible with Lake Effect. Was out there last year and it was snowing 2-3inches an hr but only in that 45mile strecth. Completely clear on both ends of that stretch lolShock Therapy Thanks this.

Also idk how your clock is but if you make it to Rochester tomorrow they will take you early if they have time. Last 3 times I've went there I've been unloaded a day early

First I would like to say a BIG thank you SJ. for some very informative and entertaining posts. Then I would like to say thank you to all the folks that have been posting great information as well.
Now let me tell you a little about myself. 41 married with 3.5 adult kids. Started to drive otr in 2001 got married in 02 shortly after came off the road to be with wife and kids. The road was calling me so I went back at it in 08 and came off again in 2010 and relocated to the Virgin Islands.
Seven years later the Virgin Island got hit with 2 cat 5 hurricanes that messed it up bad. I moved my kids back to Charlotte NC. and decided now is a good of a time to go back to what I love. It is funny how when I told my coworkers I am moving back to the states they all asked if I am going back to drive truck. I was like why you asked and they said I have always talked about how much I loved it.
I started researching trucking companies looking for 1 that would do right by me and my family. That’s how I found you guys and boy am I happy I did. Millis was sounding to good to be true so I searched and searched for as many negative things I could find about Millis and found nothing that could scare me off.
November 29 I called and spoke to Peggi around 11:45 am. I asked a few questions and she asked if I filled out an application and I said no. She said well fill it out call me back and let me know when you do and we can go from there. I filled it out rite away and called back and said I did and was told yes she has it and will take a look. Around 3:00 pm Peggi called me back and said she needed some documentation from me and I sent it rite back. 3:45 pm Peggi called me and said I made her set a new record for getting someone approved and all she needed was my $100 deposit to hold my spot in Eden Starting Jan. 29th. I gave her my card # and shortly after got another call, saying I am all set.
I have to tell you guys I feel real happy about my decision to join you guys at Millis. I don’t drink but one day I hope to buy you all a beer.
Sorry for the long post but I had to say thank you.dhellmer, FalconsFan21, Airmech and 4 others Thank this. -
Hey there Truckerland. Same song, different verse. I'm back at the same truck stop as last night. Deja Vu. I finished my load this morning at The House of LaRose in Brecksville Ohio, and was deadheaded 100 miles west to my next load. I've been there once before a very long time ago. It's a cluster, big time. Wasn't fond of it the first time, and my opinion hasn't changed. Had to get loaded at two separate docks, always fun. The guy who loaded me gave me a piece of paper with a bunch of load patterns on it and asked me to pick one. Seriously? It's not my job to know how to load your crap. I picked the one I thought would work best, but it was just a guess. It worked out kinda well. My tandems are on the 9th hole. That's ok, but I like being further forward. This load is going to Syracuse. Opie already told me he's getting me a Budweiser load heading back to Brecksville Wednesday morning, then I'm going home. Hopefully the timing will work out well for my beer load. You never know. I should beat the nasty weather that's coming to New York. If I do, it'll be just barely. It's all good though, I can already feel the relaxation coming. Mrs Junkie is getting excited, she's ready for me to be home, as is my kiddo. Can't wait! I'm getting an early start tomorrow, so I can try to get outta here before snow hits again. I'm very much over the snow in New York for a bit. Someone else's turn. Send my narrow ### south
Alrighty y'all, that's it for tonight. Hope you're all doing well. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Keep the rubber down and check your pins. Peace y'all.
