Dude, you are lost. You can have all the time in the world, but when device malfunctions, sometimes is not your problem.
It's like having your truck broke down suddenly and saying that you had all the time in world, why didnt you make sure its not gonna breakeasytopleez33, longbedGTs, WildTiger1990 and 7 others Thank this. -
Doesn't change the fact that the system you've been using for the last few years could push a bad update through and render your ELD useless until another update fixes it.
And if your ELD is connected to the web or phone system and you DON'T do the updates, you may be leaving a gaping hole for hackers that the update was supposed to close...same as with your phone, laptop, tablet, home PC, and every other "connected" device. Security patches come out as quickly as potential issues are recognized and addressed, and if you aren't installing these patches, your system is vulnerable.delta5, DOGSLIFE, Mattflat362 and 3 others Thank this. -
The best is to print or e mail to yourself the last 7 days + try to remember what's going on at the current day, and continue to add another day as it ends... For me, so far, this thing has nothing to offer to improve the workflow.

Exactly! Everyone knew this was coming twenty-four months ago. Procastinate then blame someone else (government) for the rush and tumble.bzinger, Moving Forward and HalpinUout Thank this.

I'm not lost your just clueless. Keep using your guys excuses. I hope the DOT nails all of them. Put them all OOS. Maybe then you'll get one that functions like everyone else who has had one for months. I've had Omnitracs for 6 with 0 issues. The saying goes "you get what you pay for"bzinger and Just passing by Thank this.

Not everyone wants to butcher the interior of their truck, or take it out of service for 2-3 days for an overly complicated installation when they know eventually they'll have to remove the system when they switch carriers so the interior can be torn apart again by a different set of company hacks to install their overly complicated system.
No new holes. If a system isn't compatible with that very simple requisite, it isn't acceptable.DOGSLIFE, NightWind, Mattflat362 and 2 others Thank this.
