You are not paid for orientation, but you are paid "training pay" while waiting for a trainer. Training pay I believe is 450/ week. Stevens is a good training company. Iver been here 8 years and I am a trainer. Any other questions feel free to ask.

    SHOJim and austinmike Thank this.

Thers not really a main hauling route. We do all 48 unless you get on a dedicated account.
Yes we do go to NYC and Jersey.

I ran with Stevens for 4 1/2 years and for the 1st year you tend to get the crap routes, like to the northeast and such. Now with that in mind a lot of it is getting along with your dm and planners if you can. Use your dm to plot you where you want to go. It does not always work because loads may not be there when you are and others that need to move will get put on you.
But getting on a dedicated route is the best for knowing where you will run. I ran Texas regional for 3 1/2 years and only really had issues the last few months I was there. I ran Texas and the surrounding states and rarely got into snow. Made good money and moved on. I dispatch now for a local company and run casual if we are overbooked ie CHRISTMAS time. Ran from Fountain to Holcomb last night in a day cab. 500 miles round trip. Home by 0700. Good to be local but you sometimes have to pay the piper.

    Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.

They have several they use. Americas Best, Crosslands, Motel 6 and The Luna Lodge. They are not great but adequate.
