Illinois won't accept cdl's that came from Maverick's cdl school.
MA won't accept cdl's that were aquired from any school except schools within MA.

Out of all of these listed, Rinaudo has the most “options”...if you’re looking for challenges.
the rest are just your a typical stick and brick haulers.

They said Thanks, but no thanks. They quit hiring student (read new) drivers recently and said to come back in 3 months provided I have acquired steel coil experience in that time. She said the turnover and containment issues was too high with pure rookies. I get it.

Shelton and Paul Transport both basically said the same thing-need 6 months experience anywhere with Tractor/Trailer experience and come on back to see them.

They also said keep my nose and my DAC clean in that time and they would talk then about a shot. That's seems fair to me. So that pretty much leaves me with Melton where I am a go for orientation (3 weeks out 3 days home,2200- 2500 miles a week (recruiter speak) @.41 a mile with $40 tarping pay and fuel bonus up to .04. Trucks for newbies are 2016 KW with APU and 1500 watt inverters. Not too shabby considering I don't know ***t and can barely call myself a truck driver, no less a professional one. Other choice is Cypress which is home every weekend (wife's pick), strictly SE region,.40 a mile no bonuses or tarping pay that I know of and Oh yeah it is taking them forever to process my app. Every call starts with 'what is your last name again'.
Doesn't inspire me much but I would love to be weekly. But not for 1800 miles and less then 800 gross a week. Lousy options for living in Florida and wanting to drive flatbed.

Melton is a good outfit. If not that, go with a reefer outfit; Florida is reefer country.
Melton drivers that post on here seem to be doing really well and like the company.
