I have a 2006 Volvo VNL D12, when I am dropping a trailer and engage the button that is supposed to let the air out of the air bags there is a hiss of air pressure escaping sound like there should be but the air bags never actually go down. It will just hiss and hiss and hiss but the trailer doesent sit down on the landing gear like it should. Any ideas?

Might be the leveling valve on the tractor. You could try moving the leveling rod up and down to see if it adjusts, it sounds like the switch is working.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

I had the leveling rod and valve replaced today and it still doesn’t drop the bags. Any other ideas?

Whoever replaced the leveling valve should have
Checked to make sure it works.
Unless you done it yourself you shouldn't have left
    The shop without checking it.

The main reason I had it replaced was because it broke to the point where the airbags were fully pumped up non stop, so when they returned the truck and it was level again I figured it was fixed. I was in a rush to deliver on time, ran out of time on the e log anyway.
