Well, I can't tell for sure if it's got a dial gauge or spitter gauge, but it could be anywhere from a mid 50's clear on up into an 80's.
When they refurbish them they cut the fifth wheel plate and the bogie off. Have just a plain smooth bottle there. Do a black light test and then they rebuild them from the ground up.
This bottle has been done a few times in its life, but last in 09. The bottle itself is a 1978 model. They last a long time. Bout an 1" think or so of steel.

Well actually... cough cough...
The 00 is already installed, along with the #310 injectors and the dual fuel line
and the bigger turbo. And gets just as good fuel mileage as it did, unless I step on its tail of course
. It will actually surprise you as to what it will do.... when you need it to.
I actually bumped into the man that use to own this truck, his son was driving it when the engine locked up and it got parked for a couple years. He told me the engine I took out was built completely to #625 CPL specs. Pump included plus pump got 30% on top of that and a #5 button. Said it pulled like a bull. -
I just rememberd one of the reasons I like you! Lol, you know your 855 stuff. That's what I started with and grew up around. I always loved them old big cams.Logan76, sawmill, whoopNride and 11 others Thank this.

Unloading last night and seen a few drops under my left front of the truck, was it me or another truck I thought...
Tilted old girty's hood up and checked it out. Seems the seal had went out in the steering box, crap!! New OEM box is over $700. and the core is over $500!!! They know they can keep rebuilding and making money on them!
Aftermarket was over $500... I have a new OEM to install tomorrow. Along with the coil on the pump. And everyone wants to be a O/O thinking money will fall into their hands like water over a waterfall. -
@snowman_w900 hows the truck been working for ya? Has the weather been good your way and have you been able to avoid the salted/treated roads yet?
Logan76, Hurricane69, 7-UP and 8 others Thank this. -
Well ole buddy, the truck is doing a great job. She's a little heavy and don't cut like the t600, but that part plus the extra room is fine by me.....
Unfortunately I been depressed since this crap weather set in. Dam salt makes me mad how it eats these trucks up. I been keeping her washed up best I can though. Lol....im trying to cope with it, but it's tough.Last edited: Dec 22, 2017

A working truck is never done. Seems there is always something. For mine it's new Springs bushings shocks ubolts and weld up a cracked diff housing while I'm off over the weekend. Sure wish I had time to move the horns and put the new ICC lights on top the cab. I really feel like our old trucks are gonna be under the microscope, lots of stuff I would let ride a year ago I'm on top of now.

Exactly!! I feel we are going to be harassed at every turn!Logan76, sawmill, Hurricane69 and 10 others Thank this.

You and me both! I hate running in that crap also. It really sucks running in that stuff right after you get everything polished to a mirror shine, it about makes you wanna cry!
I can about imagine how your feeling especially when you know your truck probably never seen the stuff and frame rails are clean spotless. Keeping it washed is very important.Logan76, sawmill, Hurricane69 and 12 others Thank this.
