Ive got to go through either the 85NB (maybe mm50?) or 95NB (mm40) scales next week and want to know if either is usually closed early am...
Any route drivers know?

Good luck getting by Virginia..... i think it was there I went through it at 80,300....sign said closed.... hit the weight scale in highway.....flipped to open..... got the long red light before they let me go. I had loaded way out in the bush and it wasn't worth it to drive 4 hours back to the shipper to take that small amount off. Product was sweet potatos so worst case scenario I buy and dump a few boxes.
So don't ride the right lane if you are running some weight and can see they have the big word out.Grubby, wore out, Blackshack46 and 2 others Thank this. -
IF your north on 85 get off at exit 15, where the loves is, turn right at the end of the ramp and go north on US 1 till you come back to 85 north. If you are on 95 north get off at exit 33 i think, Davis truck stop is at the exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp and cross over 95 then turn right on 301 north. This will take you right behind the south bound scale house. At the stop sign turn right on 35 and cross over 95 then take the north bound ramp.
Grubby, wore out, Big_D409 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Depending on your starting point, you could run 29-58-360.

Thanks.
I didn't realize it when posting but this is what I was looking for.
Virginia should change their slogan from "Virginia is for lovers" to "Virginia scales never close." -
LOL
Try Florida scales. They are like 7-11,.. 24/7 365. Only time I have ever seen them closed was during a hurricane.
HurstBig_D409 and Doing_flatbed_nc Thank this.
