Our company Trailer Transit starting installing the units in January, now have 180+ units in the field. JJ Keller instructed our drivers to update to the latest firmware on Thurs Dec 14 to convert the units from AOBRD to ELD status in preparation for the deadline Dec 18th.
Many of our drivers are losing locations, data is being lost, some driving time or mileage is not being recorded, in short the system is unstable and not usable at this time. Problems appear to start when you certify and submit a log, which is prompted every day.
Would like to know if any other companies using the JJ Keller Mobile ELD are having similar problems.

Typical jj keller programming. Been like that for years.

Yes, we reverted to original. Now every time we log in, we decline to update. Less bugs, but some are still present.
Studebaker Hawk Thanks this. -
The update is for oilfield work or something like that. Never update unless you call tech support and ask them they are pretty good at answering 24/7. Or they call you back shortly.

Things continue to be operating poorly. Companies that stayed with AORBD version are ok. Keller says you can't run AORBD and ELD rules same time same fleet, so if you have to add units after Dec 18, everyone has to be updated to ELD firmware.
I would like to know if other systems can handle both sets of rules simultaneously.Moving Forward Thanks this. -

I'll have to check into what exact unit we're running. Our keller logs are on our company phones with a separate unit permanently mounted in the truck and the only problem we have with ours is that our company also has an equipment inspection on our phones so when we take the phone out of the truck to use the inspection app we most times lose our log connection to the truck and have to spend the time to let it re-discover the truck.
Occasionally upon logout at the end of the day it won't send in our logs which we're told isn't a big deal because supposedly it does that when we log back in the next day.
We've been running these things since generation 1.
