Folks I’m the OP! Not done here, I’m just driving today and do not have time right now to reply to some of these posts. I looked back at the events of yesterday and would not have done anything differently. I am absolutely not looking for any sympathy, support or anything else from you folks. I posted this because drivers are being abused in many ways out here. If I can point out some things to others that will help them in a situation, so be it.
Some more details will follow later today.

Driver shows up at 6:30 for a 0700 appt, gets told he won't be started on until 0900. Driver should immeadilty call dispatch or broker and get them involved to ensure detention pay/get the big guns involved.
Until the driver has new information or questions, the driver has no need to interact with the clerk. Let the cranky dog gnaw on his own leg for a bit. Get your ducks in a row, check your sights, then go back in.
No one has said that he needs to roll over for the jerk. Big difference between stamding up for yourself and what the OP did.peterd, REO6205, Just passing by and 2 others Thank this. -
Let me explain something to everyone.
The receiver showed aggrestion and a confrontational dispute along with foul language.
YOU CAN CALL THE POLICE just for that. The driver had a load to deliver and might have pretty well felt threatened by the manager. If the police didn't show up it could have possible gotten out of hand.Grouch and austinmike Thank this. -
6wheeler and scottied67 Thank this.
