That's 100% correct. It'd upset the pipeline industry big-time alone...

 

Isn't their per diem only 50%, not 80% like transportation workers? With the standard deduction increasing, I'd think it would be a wash on the average.

I already stated that the per diem for us guys is not going away. The white collar guys are taking the hit, not us. Don;t know what more to say? And honestly, let the white collar guys keep their exemptions. They work just as hard as we do in many cases. I see no reason to punish anyone for promoting their business or making a buck. Screw the government.

 

There has been a lot of fake news pushed out on this tax plan , I'll bet very few people under 200k a year pay more taxes even in high state tax states .
The media is going to look like fools when take home pay checks are bigger in February .
My accountant said I will save huge on taxes but Florida is a no state tax state

I am still not sure..according to this article I think if you are a COMPANY driver you can still deduct for per diem..am.I wrong? This article was written after the bill passed
