The point is the same as the rest of shippers that refused to get their #### together and have all said.
Screw it we're not changing anything.
Did anybody get inspected for ELD yet?

No. No the plant isn't shutting down. You, the carrier is going to pay the penalty. And you'll get a team to run the next load, a smarter driver, or they'll find another carrier who'll get it done. It really just that simple.dunchues Thanks this.
-
They will have to pay more. Having an extra driver comes with a pricedunchues, whoopNride, Moving Forward and 1 other person Thank this.

I have had no issues with the shippers, my issue is with the brokerage. I know when my customers ship, it has not trickled down to the front office and or the folks at GM that set the appointments.driverdriver Thanks this.

Well, someone I personally know got a $1000 personal fine on Friday and another $1000 towards the company. It was for not having Eld at all in the truck.
P.S. asked him to send a proof. Maybe he is BSingwore out Thanks this. -
I had a guy tell me he hated that, and that he had to piss in his truck because he couldn't leave for 8 hours straight. (Wasn't a rookie either) I was incredulous and asked him, "is the trooper IN your truck? Then how does he know when you're out taking a dump?!?"
I swear, the way he looked at me and in however many years he'd been doing this, this had never occurred to him!
I said, "we're truckers, not convicts! It's not a prison."lilillill Thanks this. -
Not necessarily. They will argue they're already paying "premium service rates"

Most guys out here were jerked up, dumber than a post. And you can thank a tax payer funded teacher and a single mother that laid it down... Other than that, No comment.
-
Nope, you penalize us? We'll just move onto a less troublesome vendor/client. It makes no sense to brag that you're making $200 more per load if every load you're taking a $1,000 haircut, (Or risking it) because they can't get THEIR act together.
So far (and I've always been very conservative about my time compensation) I'm not doing REAL pre-trips anymore, because it takes 20-40 minutes in the morning just getting the tablet & ELD to sync without a crash, reboot, etc.
I could write up two whole days on paper and pre-fill a 3rd in the space of a cup of coffee. Now it's open, login, enter, crash, reboot, open, freeze, reboot, login, etc. etc. etc.driverdriver and Oxbow Thank this. -
#bagcrapping, lmao.
