I’m a one truck guy and was getting between 15-30 cents off. Something not right with what company is telling younightgunner Thanks this.

depending on your route and fuel level its better to wait till you get to Wisconsin or iowa.
I'm sure it's hurting the state in sales tax on merchandise cause i can't be the only one that doesnt even stop in Indiana now unless I'm on a short term dedicated route out of there like last month and even then i was able to limit my sending to only a few bucks at kroger on groceries.whoopNride Thanks this. -
And their former governer is now in the White House. I look for more taxes and tolls on trucks, Indiana certainly doesn't mind sticking it to truckers.bzinger Thanks this.

I don't think it's hurting the "STATE" They get their money thru ifta if you fuel up in state or not.bzinger, Justrucking2 and lester Thank this.

Maybe, but the state wont be getting its part of the taxes collected, ( obviously except the ifta) and a local taxpayers job or business is going to suffer too. All these people see is the short term gain when they up the prices within their control, but dont imagine there is a consequence. Who'd have thought drivers would be able to work out which states are less costly to their operation? Maybe not the elected officials trying to balance their books and be re-elected.

But they lose the sales tax on any other purchases you would have made while stopping for fuel. And state level business income taxes from the veneers not selling as much fuel.

It was $1.50 at Pilot in Oklahoma 2 years ago.ChicagoJohn Thanks this.

Yup your right, I don't disagree at all. Just pointing out the state made a calculated decision. When I'm in indy I don't see empty truckstops, pumps, or stores. Same thing when in Gary area. Actually for me I don't spend any less on non fuel purchases. As far as fuel I'm glad they now charge the full amount of tax at the pump. Instead of appearing to be cheaper. Than hitting me with a bill for remaining tax later.
