1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

They fired you over a power inverter? How big was this thing? Maybe call the recruiters for some of the "training" companies and suggest that you were unaware of the inverter policy?

some companies have a strict policy on NOT tampering with the electrical system (or any other system) on their truck. although I would think it would be more likely they would use this as an excuse to get rid of a less than desirable driver.

Jerry, You knew it was against company policy when you installed or whoever installed it for you. So you knew the risk and did it anyways. Let me ask you this question, Would you allow anyone to install a inverter on a $100,000 piece of equipment of yours? :biggrin_25512:

I have seen a few times drivers install these and burn that truck to the ground. So you have to understand why these companies have strict policies concerning inverters. Suck it up man and find another driving job. OR go get your own truck and install whatever you want in it. Wish you luck on finding another job.
