Have they switched to hair tezting or is it a pee in the bottle type thing

 

Hi Fedex family! im just curious to know does Fedex pay an orientation fee for straight truck drivers? How soon can we get an advanced pay? Will Fedex offer the 30 question Hazmat test? Thank you! Toni

 

I am an owner only with FCC. I have a team of drivers. Their pay averages to about $750/wk. But they like to be home for 8 days a month. It is hard to get loads strung together when I have to keep taking low pay loads to get them close to home. One month they ran for 3 weeks straight and averaged 1100 take home a week.
Fcc takes care of all the paperwork for you. No need to worry about cab cards, IFTA, permits etc. The 40% you pay is worth it imo. No paperwork headache. They are constantly updating the technology for loads. The load board is updated every minute.
Dispatch works 2 ways. You can pick your own loads and dead head pay is capped at $150. Or you can wait for FCC to dispatch you on a load and they pay $1/mi. I had them offer me $1200 to deadhead across the country to pick up a load that paid about 2.05 a mile loaded. My average load rate is $2.38 with a $1.76 avg pay.
November I had a net profit $7000. That's paying for fuel, insurance, driver pay (.47/mi)x2 and other miscellaneous expenses. I've only been in this for 4 months. December has been slower but I'm still with about a 3-4000 profit.

FedEx actually cares. Be nice and courteous and they will bend over backwards for you. Even if you get screwed by the shipper FedEx will pay you and send you another load. They pay 100% of tolls for 53 foot, and fuel surcharge means I pay an average of 1.30 a gallon. Insurance costs about 170 a month for liability and physical damage and workers insurance is about 400.
Pending any big service items I will be able to buy another truck outright with cash in a year.
The OP definitely got the shaft. But they have changed from that. There is not fee for trailers. It's FCC's trailer and they pay all repair and even pay to wash the trailer. Truck wash has a discount. You also get about a 15-20% discount on tires (good tires like Michelin and goodyear) and service rates at select locations.
FCC has been great so far. I stay away from NYC and NW US loads in the winter. Short 3-500 mile a day trips 5-6 days a week mainly east of the Mississippi river. There used to be weekly runs to Ca.

 

They do pay an orientation fee to the owner. I got 400 I think been a few months. But they pay you mileage to FCC office in Ohio at $1 a mile for E class vehicles.

 

Hey guys, how is FedexCC now, any updates? What percentage of gross pay you net after fees?

 

Well, its 2021 and FCC pays less then average loadboard load now.
