I thought I read somewhere, it’s the truck vin that determines ‘99 or older in regards to logs. 2000 truck, 99 motor, you’re still elog.
-
It was originally, it was modified not long agoMasonkid Thanks this.

bigguns, Mark Kling, DL550CAT and 2 others Thank this.
-
That’s what I was looking for.
Thanks -
No problem. I run a 2000 truck with the 99 motor. So I figured I'd replace the confusion with law if need be.DL550CAT, bigguns and wrongwaytommy Thank this.

One thing to look out for with that. It's based on engine model year, not engine build date. You can have an engine with a build date of say 11/99, but be a model year of 2000. Heck, even your highlighted portion states that.
Now I'm not saying yours is either way, but some have asked about that.DogHouse83 Thanks this. -
It also says engine plate, in the main guidance question. But good catch
