I think I asked this in an earlier post but how many trucks do you have and how long have you been in business? I'm betting that you're fairly new at this.
That's okay, everybody has to start somewhere. But if a bunch of guys who don't even know each other all tell you basically the same thing you'd be doing yourself a favor to at least give their ideas some thought.
There's a wealth of good experience and advice available to you here, free of charge. But if you choose not to take it, that's certainly your choice.

I think you did just fine handling the situation. When he slammed his fist down: it was a threat...when he refused to sign the bills “rejected” but, ordered you off the premises; you had little choice.. I’ve driven for 15 years and probably would have done the same thing. Merry Christmas!

The only time anyone ever yelled at me was actually recent. It was in Alexandria mn at the Starbucks distrcibution plant.

I was sweeping my trailer and the owner saw a few sticks of pallet fall out he runs over and starts yelling I’m sick of you truck drivers making a mess on my lot. Take that #### somewhere else to your own lot. I was like I’m gonna clean it up. NO ###k that. I was like so what now.? He’s like I’m gonna stand here and watch until you pick up every piece. And then he loses patience open the receiver door and yells(make sure this stupid mother #u###r picks up everything before he leaves. Then he said what pissed me off was ( i expected that out of a ###### (Not a white boy) and then I lost it. Needless to say people get very quite when you run up to their face. All of a sudden they want to talk about it. Piece of crap human being.
You hate your job quit!! Or suicide is a great way out.

 

So.... are you being a nice guy and screwing yourself? You should be getting 75 minimum for every detention hour.

The average rate for company drivers is around $25... NOT for owner ops. Couple drivers here have told you this and apparently your not understanding???

 

Dude, hes an airplane pilot turned truck driver/o/o. I get this wierd tingling feeling the op talks like they are better than us.

 

Same feeling here... Super Trucker... Sheriff, just as good as the Federal Marshall in my book. That situation was nothing, and totally handled like a rookie.
