That Pete has to go someone who’s first job was driving a little window Pete. Wore, the one I drove had a Corvette dash. I know it was a little window Pete because I learned right quick like to pull my noggin down into my shoulders because the roof didn’t give when I hit a bump. The story behind the job: 1981 A friend had one truck and too many fertilzer customers that spring. He hired a man with a ‘73 little window Pete to pull one of his tankers. This man did NOT drive his Pete and hand polished 32’ East dump unless the roads were dry. He had a prior “commitment” to go to Canada with his father right at the height of spring planting. My friend Dave told Roger he had the job but the truck had to work while he was in Canada. Almost as green as they get, I pulled a tank into Canada to pick ip nitrogen fertilizer and deliver to farms in western NY with that Pete. Every pair of eyes that knew that truck and Roger were on me for that week. Fortunately I gave it back to Roger without a scratch on it. It was one awesome week of truck driving. The truck was one of a pair Riger bought in Colorado. He sold one and kept one. It was a gorgeous gold with the top of the hood, cab, and sleeper in black. The front fenders were in black also. There was a narrow black stripe from the hood to the back of the sleeper. This stripe ran along the bottom of the door and sleeper. The black on the hood ran up the window post to the roof and along the window sill on the door. What I would give for a picture of that truck.

I have read that the dash of class or corvette dash didn't come till 77. I read in the same article or book that the 1100 series cab came in 73 I am sorta sure. I take stuff like that to be fact till it's disputed by a solid first hand account. (Right now comes to mind) to be honest I have never been around a little window 359. To be honest 80's models are all I have been around. Other than the 66 351 that my oldest brother has.

Early in my cow hauling career I met an older fella in his late 60's outta Florida had a sky blue and white little window. He was a machine never a missed motion I have wanted one since.

I learned to drive on a 1970 day cab with 318, 5 & 4 double over (over in both boxes), something like 529 rears, Hendrickson rubber pad walking beam suspension, square air cleaner on the right side and Luber finer oil filter on the left. Definitely flat dash.

My 1st 359 I drove was Pops 75 model. Flat dash with a 290 / 12513 trans factory day cab.

The 359 my buddy has at the salvage yard is flat dash as well, 1976 model if my memory is correct.
It talks to me every time I see it!! All original with the SC Cummins, still has the compression release on it... used them before too ;).

A friend of mine has a 75 or 76 113" from bumper to back of the cab fiberglass hood. Factory day cab. It's the only one I have seen that short or fiberglass. I had heard of the glass hoods but his is the only one I have seen. It's a small cam Shiney 290 if I am not mistaken

Forgot what a rush it is! Punch the throttle and you're doing 45 mph before you can blink!

Well since we’re alone this year for Christmas and no one is around, I guess I’ll start drinking whiskey again
