Hey guys...I know you've been waiting for it. There's a new trucking application called "Trucker" on iTunes.
So far it looks pretty good for a 1.0 version. They're in connection with TruthAboutTrucking website and AskTheTrucker, so I think it's well managed with good news feeds and a great news about trucking issues.
Anyone have it yet? Let me know what you think. They're supposed to be coming out with a new version soon and it's going to be more expensive, so I'm glad I got it at .99cents. -
yep pretty cool,
wish there were more iphone truck related apps load boards ect

I've been trying to modify iPhone app QuickOffice so that I can enter my OO fueling, mileage, purchases, etc. from the comfort of the driver's seat or wherever I happen to be at the time. But, this spreadsheet app is not as easy to use as a dedicated app could be. It's basically the same as Microsoft Excell. Transfer to/from laptop is complicated. The QuickOffice iphone app autodate/time function is multi-step entry, and there's no auto access to the iphone GPS function to record location, for example. Not surprisingly, fuel prices, taxes, etc., as gathered from the internet, aren't autolookup functions either.
Obviously, having a handheld logbook app with laptop sync and bluetooth quick print function would be really cool.
I'd pay more than 99 cents for well designed and easy to use trucker apps for my iPhone. -
An app for forum access is a bit of a silly idea in my opinion. Besides, aren't iPhones supposed to give you a superior web browsing experience when compared to other mobile devices?
I believe there is a way to enable a mobile version of the forum on the server side. It may be an add-on or something included depending on the type of forum software being utilized.
A slimmed down mobile version of the site would be easily accessed by the majority of wireless phones/pdas on the market, without the need for a $pecific application.statikuz Thanks this. -
