Used to do it all the time. But now my current fuel discount is good enough the truck stop cost isn't higher so no longer worth the extra pia factor.

Who do you go through for tire discounts?mitmaks Thanks this.

Any of the manufacturers will set you up with a national account. There is also a couple membership type groups that can save you big bucks on tires.

To me that’s not really a downside. I currently use our company card. We get the deepest discount at Loves and Fj/pilot. I think I am about to look into nastc or something else just so I can get discounts on these above. It is a hell of a lot easier to find parking and seems to be less idiots to deal with. I despise the fuel island at Loves. I spent an hour behind a nuckle head last week no doubt taking his thirty and then after his thirty god knows what he was doing. And 90 percent of the loves and js don’t have parking after 5pm. Running regional flatbed I use all of my 14 on a regular and even starting at 4am puts me shutting down at 6pm. It didn’t matter as much when I ran paper, I fueled and showered during the day after my reload and didn’t park at truck stops. I am one that has to have a shower daily even if it cost me a load, i can’t sleep unless I get one after reloading. Now I find myself racing the clock daily and I end up parking at truck stops so I can get my shower during my 10. I then pull over to the fuel island the next morning and start the pump as soon as I can log on. Lol didn’t mean to derail the subject but I do need to look into that card.

Pilot in Tolleson, AZ was $2.65 after discouts on the 26th, with a bonus of 1600 points.
Petro in Medford was $2.53 after discounts last night. Gratuitous to go box this morning.

The 8/2 split makes getting a shower a lot easier. Like you i prefer to clean up after my reload, especially if tarps are involved. And i avoid parking at truck stops as much as possible. I shower and eat and screw off for a few to make it last 2 hours then head on down the road till the 14 runs out and hit the sleeper for 8.
