Biggest bunch of bull #### I have ever heard, first of all FedEx will never offer more pay, because they never told anyone to speed in the first place, second, they would just tell you all the money you will save in fuel mileage. Your talking about a company that sometimes gives contractors a half a penny per mile increase, and you think they are going to jump up the pay big time to slow the trucks down, what a laugh, stop watching CNN idiot

He's a contractor, and the raise did happen. It wasn't really about the speed, but maybe to help with truck purchases because the safety system cost a few thousand dollars per truck, and FedEx says every new truck must have it... Also for the cost of having cameras in our trucks.

And I think you're right about just a fine for the speed if you get caught, but I've heard it's a big one like 15 or 20k... that's a big risk for most contractors.

Thats a canceled contract for most contactors. It's to big to absorb for the vast majority of guys.

Every one has to have the new equipment and no one else got a raise, as far as getting a speeding ticket run the speed limit in each state and you have no problem, in states where its 75 go 75, don't do 75 in a 65. Slowing the trucks down will do nothing for safety, look at all the big companies that cause 95 percent of the wrecks, their all at 65mph. And remember, the only way you have to pay the big fine is if you can't get out of the ticket, get a lawyer like anyone in a car would do. As far as that new collision system, I would like to know if it slams on brakes on snow and ice too, could cause more problems than its worth, I would install it, then disable it period.
