I'm scheduled to leave for Schneider and their jetset solo "opportunity", but it seems I've been lied to. I was told three weeks out in the beginning. Then I was corrected to a minimum of three weeks. Now I see on my paperwork emailed to me that it's one month out.
Just a heads up to anyone considering this "opportunity".
Anyone else here have experience with this specific opportunity?
Schneider lied ? Jet set 3 weeks ?

The foundation of what I'm saying is if they lie at this how do I know what else they're lying about.

And no, I have not experience in this opportunity.TheRealPorkChopExpress and midnightlost Thank this. -
You must run a minimum of 3 weeks at a time.
Initially you will have orientation (1 week if experienced 3 if not), then start on a 3 week tour.TheRealPorkChopExpress, midnightlost and Need4Speed Thank this. -
Also, home "on" the weekend and home "for" the weekend mean 2 different things.lol
I used to drive for them. They lied to me on several occasions, twice in writing. They want to make the driver call them on it.Last edited: Dec 28, 2017

Never drove for them. So for a fact I do nit have the answer. From your question, just going by experiance. I'd say no you were not lied to. When they said stay put 3 weeks, then 3 weeks minimum is the same thing. Somewhere along the line, between your initial conversation. And the actual come to orientation start date they realized, for whatever reason. It needed to be 4 weeks out not 3 So they changed it to 4 weeks. You got caught during the change. In any event it doesn't matter. Once up and running that is between you and your dispatcher. The hell with the officil company policy.

Wait the trucking industry is all lies? When did that happen?
If it's on the interweb, tv, radio, or in funny paper you know it's never a lie.midnightlost Thanks this. -
It is funny to me how some folks have an opinion of the lies that are told in this industry and the expectation that drivers just roll over and accept all of things wrong with the industry but yet no driver will ever admit to accepting cheap freight.
Can't folks just express some frustration here without being told to suck it up and pay your dues?Oledevildog, ExtremeUnction, p608 and 2 others Thank this.
