2018 ucr registration is delayed....
So they say the fee may be going down. Everything is on hold for now . Typical government bs.

This is all over the trade publications.
If you pay or have paid, the money should be automatically refunded.
I still receive too many offers from online companies to file my ucr. Received two today.
They just want the processing fees. -
Since the end of the year is in just a few days, I checked on this as I haven't heard anything. Still delayed, and said states wouldn't start enforcing it until 90 days after the rate is set, whenever that may be.
rank Thanks this. -

So they want to reduce fees on carriers but yet they mandate a ELD that is much more expensive than the UCR reduction they are proposing.
How sweet of them. LOL -
There is no rhyme or reason to government.
I don’t even know what UCR is, other than something somebody dreamed up to get more money.
I do know the state of IN handles all of it. I bet they are getting a pretty good chunk to manage it. -
Today is January 5th, 2018.. The fees have been decided and registration is supposed to be open today starting immediately (According to their letter). Still the UCR website is not functioning though. I just tried to renew for 2018, but 2018 isn't available in the drop-down list. Only thing available is 2017.
How in the world are they not coordinated?? How do you post a letter on your site saying everything is going into effect immediately, but haven't even got the system up and running yet!?Cat sdp Thanks this. -
I really never understood the purpose of the UCR since there is IRPA that serves the purpose of having only one plate on your truck when you go out of your base state. Can't there just be IRPA? All this terminology is hard to grasp, what is for what.
Dan47 Thanks this. -
On a side note, I was completing my KYU report for the 4th quarter and noticed that the State of KY says my KYU account is out of compliance because my UCR is expired. I’m not going to poke that bear yet but it makes you wonder if I could get a ticket in KY for out of compliance KYU number?
