For best results you'll need a quiet room and some stereo headphones to pick the voices out of the noise.
This beats any FCC type accepted cb receiver by a long shot.
This was in my mobile listening via the Anytone AT-6666 and recorded via line level with an Olympus DM420 by the way.
This was the whole secret behind the 45-mile Cobra 29.
This is how a receiver is supposed to work

AND?
Rabbi, so what is the specs? -
My vehicles don't meet the "quiet room" spec, nor do my speakers perform as well as the "illegal-while-driving" stereo headphones.
No wonder I can't hear 45 miles on the Interstate :=) -
If I have to build a quiet room to hear.... It ain't worth hearing.

Definitely not stock. Once I saw how weak the signal was I figured it was the perfect opportunity to showcase the fact that nobody within an hour of me was capable of hearing the signal and nobody else within an hour of Las Cruces New Mexico was making the trip to my receiver. It's pretty cool when a signal is so weak that it doesn't even register on your meter yet it is perfectly intelligible while down inside the noise.Last edited: Dec 29, 2017
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
You like being deaf like the rest of the people around me?
-
There's definitely lots of things you'll miss while driving down the road in a noisy truck. I can definitely hear a lot more when I'm parked on the side of the road.

The people with the least amount of noise in their receiver and the least amount of noise in the environment they are listening in will be able to hear you from the greatest possible distance. I'm sure if somebody spoke to you from a distance greater than any previous contact, you would probably wonder why nobody else had been able to hear you from that same distance previously.
