Well... Orientation is not a sure thing in trucking. A percentage are sent home for a variety of reasons that first week in Orientation. For those they are not paid. And sometimes they have to find their own way home.

The pay for it is pretty small, the training pay not much better.

If the wheels taint turning, you taint being paid.

IF at all possible, pay off that tuition. DO NOT indenture servitude yourself to a contract under a carrier.

It goes without saying Recruiters are not well respected in the industry because it motivates them something terrible to get fresh meat that knows nothing and asks no questions into trucking. Their way, not the school way.

This needs to be repeated often! If school is $4000 to $5000, I think a new driver could put in on a credit card at 23% interest. I bet they would still be better off than being a slave to a company like CRST.
