I guess it depends on where the outside humidity is in comparison to current interior levels. But if your interior is getting humid, it's probably fairly moist outside.

Of the few good things about the Freightliner I drive windows never frost up. I keep heat at about half and fan at #4 in -40c temps. Only ever been a issue in leaky trucks. Humidity definitely plays into the frost
Grubby Thanks this. -
HA. the old mack would do it in the morning as soon you climb out of foggy Hagerstown hit the colder air on the summit and start back down. BOOM Fogged all around at 70. Wipe wipe wipe wipe wipe. While waving off the cars yelling bad words at you. We used to have vents open in those days. And not much else.

The goofballs on Ice road truckers in N. Manitoba always have the driver window down halfway in minus 40 degree weather. Take a hint from them ! ! !

Do you have anything on the floorboard of the passenger side? I used to keep a trash can over there asks it would cause the passenger side to freeze over. Moved it and problem solved

My truck does that whens it's below -20c. Apparently Pete never thought tgat having warm air on the windshield and the side windows at the same time was necessary
. l hung an old fashioned fan up in the centre of the windshield and it moves the warm air around enough to fix it mostly.

Hvac setting to fresh air with ac and defroster on high should handle anything IF the hvac system is operating correctly/efficiently.

Isn't it funny that you can buy a $15,000 car with digital climate control that will keep the windows clear, even though you only drive it an hour a day. But, the engineers at <<take your pick US HD truck maker> can't figure this out. Look at the climate control systems on most Euro trucks, they put the systems we have to shame.special-k Thanks this.

Never had that problem... and I live in Winterpeg.
upnorthwpg, hunts2much and Short Fuse EOD Thank this.
