I completed my little “production pod” today. (I am now able to sit in my PP, but that’s a discussion for another day.)
A year from now, I intend to be making a living doing voiceovers. 15 years of radio and a lot of encouragement from family and friends are urging me on. There isn’t a week that goes by without someone asking me if I was ever in radio.
The following 12 months will allow me to re-hone my skills, make some demos, pursue some coaching, and perhaps get a foot in the door with some small projects. I’ll be 58 by years end, and it’s a little daunting. But this year will also allow my wife and I to clean up the last bit of debt we have, thereby making my transition a little easier.
So at least for me, leasing makes sense. I may be one of the few, but that’s ok. My shoes probably don’t fit many folks anyway.stevep1977, LtlAnonymous, Sipesh and 5 others Thank this. -
Looks sweet. I was a DJ at one time in my life as well. Find an agency and maybe start out doing doughnuts and maybe it will build from there. You got the pipes for ID's and such?
