SB freight agent needs people to lease on so he can line his pockets at your, and your equipments expense, there is always that route.
It will be just like taking boat rides through "It's A Small World" at Disneyland. You might look into that.

Well you just posted it has less to do with the rate.
So while I'm sure you will get the Landstar haters to jump on the band wagon, logically, your cloak & dagger load / story just isn't holding up.
And it has nothing to do with Landstar being "cheap".
There's 1000s of loads on the board with great, great rates, for solid agents of big time customers. -
Ew. If any of you have any questions about how to handle a weird redelivery situation I'm probably your guy. I've negotiated more rejected loads of produce than I can remember since the 4th of July... And I've been at it for years. There aren't too many situations I haven't already seen some version of.

I've been with landstar going into year 12 , none of this bothers me in the least , until they pay me to recruit they're on their own . When I started they were a better co to work for , but if there was somewhere better to go I would seriously consider it . So if any of you rich drivers want to advise a better place to lease on to , I'm all ears eyes , lol

You know apparently reading comprehension is not your strong point. And honestly I'm done dealing with you. I started this thread originally talking about Landstar posting low rates that were far below market value for those of us who are not bco. This is a separate situation that has developed since yesterday. And while a rate does have a part to play in it, the specific agent playing games is the bigger deal. I don't know how to make that any more plain and clear. If that's beyond your level of reasoning you know what drive on. I really can't help you any further. Again driver have a nice day.

Yeah I've got nothing against individual members of the Landstar organization. My beef is strictly with their decision to do exactly zero quality control on who they let in and their wide ranging practice of double brokering freight. And it's dirty careless double brokering too.
I'm very aware of the fact that there are a great many excellent drivers and fleet owners inside Landstar and it annoys me greatly that I can't figure out how to use them without interacting first with a Landstar agent.
EDIT: I'm not even saying that leasing on with Landstar is a bad call. Heck I suspect that for guys who have been doing it 12 years it's the OBVIOUS good call.Last edited: Dec 31, 2017

Isn't Landstar 65% for Van, 72% if you have your own trailer?
That's giving up a lot of money imo, I don't know of any carrier that pays a lower percentage.rakusa Thanks this. -
