I was just wondering, nothing against Landstar, there are many happy guys there. I looked at leasing on twice, and just could never get any straight answers in regards to the actual pay after all of the deductions.
-
And the official number paid to the truck, 9598 trucks is $656 day, that's per LS stat.
freightwipper and Justrucking2 Thank this. -
Is that your truck? Never mind, I read your post wrong. Not trying to start anything. Sorry.
-
Deductions are a shot in the dark. If you're a self starter, don't need your hand held, you'll have no problem. Not to say you won't take some lumps, I have, and so has everyone else.
-
I only pull dog food and bottled water that weighs 44K lol.Justrucking2 Thanks this.

Lumps are part of the game, there is no perfect out here, and I don't care who you are leased to or if independent for that matter. Bottom line, if it fits you, and the bills are covered, AND you have REAL time off, all is good.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
LMAO!!!!freightwipper and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I'll be out 8 days this trip, deliver about 28 miles from my house when I get back, and net about $6K after LS and fuel.
My truck payment is $240 week. Another $200 I throw in the repair kitty, and $100 for overhead.
And I could do more, but I take care of my Dad.
So yea, it's an awful place.Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
I hear you, I'm taking care of my mother here too... Stay close to home...
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
