From Saia board. A lil hard to do in city traffic. A person behind the desk and not in real world situations making the call.

Yeah I don't plan on running linehaul but who knows what the future may bring. Its definitely hard to keep that type of following distance in city traffic. I figure if a city driver being paid by the hr it's no big deal if I'm in traffic and If I have to drive like grandma then so be it.

Thing is I've heard that dispatch will rush you to everything delivered? I'm sure you can't just lag around but it's a question of do you want 100% on time service or less but SAFE!!

Saia is really something else no wonder they always hiring, here in Houston saia has contractors (Palletized) who hauls their trailers, can those rules apply to them as well, I mean after all they wear the same uniform.

Dear blessed heavens, that memo made my brain hurt. People with the English skills of a child shouldn't be in charge of anything, let alone telling drivers what to do.

My reading is that they just found out that the video could be used against them for the price of a subpoena.

When I visited a SAIA barn I asked if the cameras were on all the time. The TM, "They're on all the...only when they sense an event."

    Uh-huh.

According to their own website, 8 years is considered a long time to be there.

The pricks don’t allow CB’s either.

Or Bluetooth headsets (no phone calls, period). That would be brutal for linehaul drivers around 4 or 5 am.

Your not going to be home daily as a new guy. Chances are you'll be out 5 days straight most of the time. When it's slow you'll get home more often but you won' be getting crap for miles.

To make 6 figures you'e going to have to go team, or put in your 20 years to get a 600+ mile scheduled run.

You can make good money with them running system/extraboard running 6 days but you likely won't hit 6 figures nor will you be home daily. Saia had aot of terminals in smaller cities and towns so you will end of having days where you jist short hop and burn up all your time dropping and hooking.

Youll.see what I mean getting stuck doing the I10 shuffle from houston to New Orleans. Going that way you have Beaumont, Lake Charles, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge.
