I recently had the pleasure of driving a 2018 LT, auto with a Cummins in it. Only had 13,000 miles on it. It was just a day trip out and back, smooth truck. No issues when I drove it at least, lol.

Well I have made it to the border so far. Having lunch at Whiskey Petes.

So far the Cascadia seems to be a decent truck. 15 liter Detroit with the 12 speed automated trans. Has the economy/power/manual shifter and the crawl gear.

Just to toss in another curve my boss called and he was able to get me a Volvo if I want it. I told him I would like to drive it to compare and then let him know. Not a bad place to be.

Can you give an update on your experience with owning this truck?

My MPG for 2018 was 8.88, 20% DH Miles, AR to NE and SE, to the Midwest, and back to AR, run that loop all the time. I’ve got 163k on it so far with no problems. I added an Amsoil bypass system on it as well, since I plan on running it as close to 700k as I can get. I use about 17 gallons of DEF per 4K or so miles. Hasn’t used any oil since it hit 30k miles.
I have a small leak on one of the gaskets in my air compressor. It’s minor and I’ll get it taken care of at the next oil change. Not an engine related problem.

I get about 150 miles per gallon of def. Usually about 4 gallons a day. X15 Efficiency.

I’ve owned Cummins before and wouldn’t own another. They haven’t convince me they’ve solved the soot problem. What is your MPG? If your MPG is good and you’re still using that much DEF, to me, that would indicate that exhaust is still really dirty after leaving them cylinder, imagine how dirty it is going in.

That hurts. Especially if you’re paying the fuel.

    Mine has the A26
    Direct drive 10 speed
    2.50 ratio
Super singles, with trailer radials on the tag axle
    6X2
    APU
    Flow Below
The trailer also has super singles with skirt and tail, reefer.

There is a YouTube video out there if a company called ERL that runs upstate NY to the NJ ports pulling well over 80k pounds. They said they’re getting 8.1, but I think they run back empty.
