Im not sure where you are from but that's a speeding ticket for I think reckless driving because it's more than 15 over. But nothing like the outrageously egregous 29+ over Maryland would arrest you at anything over 90.

In my time with Class A and then CDL I racked up about a dozen tickets. ALL of them over the speed limit. Eventually I accumulated 7 points in a short enough time frame to be hauled into the State DMV and told if I got one more point (A ticket) anywhere in a certain time frame) I would have my license suspended. Based on my top end speeding history if I got anything over 90 or god forbid 100 plus the license will be revoked. Class A or not. They don't care. 8 Points is suspension a period of time, and 12 is revoke.

It was a hot time for me what with that car I had some time ago, never mind that 18 wheeler climbing milesburg on 80 from 122 mph down to 90 halfway up and 65 over the top ten miles later back to 130 in 4 miles. Those days are LONG LONG over.

That is my story. I have had some trouble getting hired with that stack of tickets. Companies used to howl and laugh at me when I tried to apply. It's bad.

Anyway. I had a workaround for the three years lost to OTR in those days, I went dump trucking with paving. That was the ultimate workaround, to maintain employment and to have a boss who did not give a *&^% about my bad bad record. I rewarded him with loyality and perfect driving. Absolutely perfect except for a occasional cut of someone's cable line over the driveway.. I rather sit and rewire that house's wire than to stop half way down dumping 5 ton of stone in a pile... It's a matter of relative costs.

It's a ticket. Pay it and move on. In a certain time it will drop off your driving record.

As far as defenses against future traffic stops do the following. Have a laptop in the passenger seat actively recording GPS speed every 5 seconds and position down to the Lat Long 15 feet anywhere on the planet. Combine that with a live HD camera on your forehead (See Scottie67's posts and video...) and it will become rapidly apparent should you breeze across Kansas at 70, get stopped while showing 70 on your dash board and being lit up and eventually have the officer at the window demanding your papers at 87 over.

You will have it all on video. Take that to the court. A few minutes of them eyeballing your 70 mph or so on the car dash then being lit up and talked to for 87 over by officer at window... trust me it will be thrown out.

I had my Waze app going but I cant get a log. Yeh, if I take it to court they'll add all the other stuff on there. Just makes no sense taking the steering wheel out of my hands and putting 80000 lbs in the hands of a rookie but oh well.

I went to talk to the prosecutor and was told they cannot amend tickets since I have a CDL.
I then called attorneys to see if they could do anything. I paid one 500 bucks because he told me he went to school with the prosecutor and could get things done.
When he couldn't do anything he told me they would schedule for another bench trial and would contact him by email. He said he was too busy and too unfamiliar to be able to catch the email saying when my trial was. He then asked if I had accepted Jesus. He was ####ing with me because he just got 500 bucks for doing nothing and did not want to waste anymore time. He then told me to email him to say I was removing him from my case. I did, several times, and it took two months for him to notify the prosecutor that he had been removed.

Seriously, your ability to earn a living? Plenty of other jobs out there. Dont be so dramatic.
You need a lawyer that can beat this in court. Was it pacing or radar?

Radar. And he asked the trooper if he would write it for 14 mph over and he refused. My bad for the drama but I just lost a whole bunch of money and other jobs, well, I'm not looking forward to tenbucks an hour.

Get all the proof together, the actual ticket stating speed/source
Getting justice in this country is a hodge pod of crap, the insurance companies have
us all by the balls. Go for a traffic lawyer in that area.

Find out when the last time the radar was calibrated, if it was outside the window you can have it thrown out.

Also if there were any other vehicles near you that can alter the reading, in the rain the effective range is reduced depending on the type of radar he was using, go back and see where you got pinged with relation to where the trooper was and see if it was outside that range.

Look on our legal thread. Send Paul at Truckers Justice a PM, or call him, and ask how to proceed logically.
Maybe he can help or can direct you to a pro that can in your area.

A real attorney is going to be a few thousand. A real attorney will get that knocked down somehow, but it might take awhile, and it's gonna take some coin.

Accept the situation, and move forward logically rather than " Oh this sucks so hard." You've had plenty of time to get past that.
