switch under brake pedal is used by VECU only (to disable C/C), but brake light input (LCM) is connected to 0.4BAR pressure switch, generally located in brake lines. On FH cabovers they are near battery box, on VN they put it under sleeper. It is 2 pin switch with twist connector, switch is really reliable but connector and wires go bad with road solt.
