Does anyone know where I can get a speed sensor for a Rigmaster (Orange Engine) other than a OEM part from a Dealer? Maybe a part for for a auto at a parts house or something Summit racing has speed sensors that look compatible but I'd like to know if anyone has ever went this route.

Rigmaster doesn't use the old speed sensor anymore. There is a kit to replace it with a circuit that connects to the alternator instead.

The first couple of years with my Rigmaster were pretty much trouble free - did the PM's, changed one belt myself, and I think that's it. The last year and a half has been nothing but trouble.

Belts have broken a couple more times, the main seal went out causing it to puke oil.

The AC quit blowing cold air three times and each time it was a busted hose, which were replaced and got it up and running again. These were also covered by warranty since I was still paying the $70/week rental. By now, though, the APU was overheating whenever it was over 85 degrees or so and, more often than not, would die when the AC compressor kicked in, necessitating multiple restarts before it would finally work. Then it quit blowing cold again. By now it was out of warranty and, with the previous failures, I didn't want to pay to get it fixed just to have it break again. It was also close to the end of last summer so thought I'd tough it out.

Another problem that seemed to come up around that time is that as soon as I would shut the truck down for the night, at a shipper/receiver, to get fuel, whatever, the battery voltage would quickly start downhill. Once it hit 12.3 volts the APU would kick in to recharge them, run for 15 minutes or so and shut off, voltage would quickly start down from 12.9 or so to 12.3 in 15 minutes, the APU would kick back on, etc. All night long. The truck batteries were old so I figured they weren't holding voltage well. Had them tested at Springfield, they said two were bad and replaced with new. That didn't help the problem and a month or two later had the batteries tested again at a TA. They gave me the printout showing the 2 new ones were good and the 2 old ones were putting out almost nothing. So I replaced those 2 batteries and now have 4 new batteries. It still didn't fix the problem, though...15 minutes after shutting the truck down, the voltage drops to 12.3, the APU kicks in, and do that cycle all night long.

About a month ago, the APU would no longer start at all. But, guess what, the battery drain problem is also gone. As long as I watch my usage, I can do a 10 hour break before the voltage drops to 12.3! If I have a longer than 10 hr break or am using more stuff, I just fire up the engine and let it run for 10 minutes before I sleep for the night and all is well.

My lease will be up in a few months, so I'm not putting another dime into the Rigmaster and will be happy to see it go bye bye.

Best thing for you to do, the frame on ours broke which was covered under warranty but not the labor of transferring the motor etc.into it from old frame and remounting it! Thermo-king is the last frontier (even though install is three days?)before a 3 cyl kubota rv genset with generator you can make yourself. No interest in centramatic either, manager tried to lie about one of his old units, which clearly had a new motor? Said it was cleaned up REAL good! Go figure!!

Evolution was $11,500 installed in Tennessee. l got my Rigblaster for $9,500. Plus no sales tax in Missouri even if you don't live there. Mine is the non generator model, less to break.

Mine was overheating like many have described. I removed the small top cover, and I’m glad to report it hasn’t shut down for the last 2 hours, as opposed to 30 minutes beforehand. And current temps are 100 degrees.
