Hmmm .... cool.... thanks!

Good luck to you. I trust you know that flatbedding is backbreaking work right? Our tarps weigh about 180LBS, and more with ice and snow on them. You can do the job if you set your mind to it, so i'm not knocking you or anything, just don't want you thinking it's easy work.
-
Oh no way, I appreciate all advice. I know nothing lol
Double hmmm..... I guess I will have to start working out regularly
-
OK dont scare her....the tarps dont weigh 185lbs....
steel tarps are 80-85lbs and lumber tarps are 120lbs -
Realy? Interesting. The logic I was tought when I went through training with the company I started driving with was that if you leave it hooked up all somebody has to do is break in and hot wire the rig, then theyre gone and can unload your trailer elsewhere....then dump the truck somwehere else. IF we ever took a load home (very seldom) we were to back the trailer up to a fence, light pole, something hard to move, the dissconect and pull the truck forward a couple feet, then use a kingpin lock. That way a thief would have to move the truck, then bust the kingpin lock. Thiefs are lazy and wouldnt want to do the extra work. That was their logic anyways, but that was vans also, guess flatbeds are a differant story anyways though -
If the creeps want it bad enough they are going to get it. TMC wants it hooked together maybe so if the crooks are dumb the sat will sent the cops to them.

One thing they told us about TMC trailers is that they are aluminum, thus if one is stolen it will bring in good money at this present time. So securement is a priority.

Well that is true and if you have a load of alluminum blocks on board that is a nice pay day. Me persoanlly i would never leave my trailer in a lot unless it was at a dealer but i dont have that problem i can bring the whole unit home with me and i even have a building i can drive the whole thing into and lock it down and keep it dry.Drive-a-Mack Thanks this.

Sounds like you have a nice setup for parking your truck. I have a place to park one at the farm but nothing indoors. Would be nice tho.
