Weird. Most of all the jobs that have called me back and offered interviews were out of the Denver area. Then again, these are LTL/daycab outfits I'm gunning for.
You'd think you'd be able to throw a rock and hit any number of border cross trucking companies looking for prospective hires.

@Adrienna Brown are you still with your original company? I remember you were looking a long time ago to change but thats been nearly 2 years maybe. I also drove for FFE years ago and plenty of Meat going out of your area and plenty of loads to Canada

Ah, you remember me. I must be memorable lol. I can't remember what company I was at back then (either May or Swift) but no I'm not. Now I'm with Tribe Express. They're based out of Georgia but they hire pretty much everywhere. I only recently started with them but I hate literally EVERYTHING about them. They take the per diem out of your cpm (they offered me .40 cpm, but 6 cents of it is per diem), which screws you for the $59 a day at the end of the year, their trucks are always breaking down, they're disrespectful when they talk to you, they struggle to get me home to Colorado, they have in-cab cameras (which I was NOT initially informed about or I would have never come), they have a million things that beep at you in the truck when you're driving down the freaking road, my first paycheck after having been here for 3 weeks was $340 and $250 of it was part of the sign-on bonus. I mean, even at Swift I could find SOMETHING positive (I liked their hometime program, my dm was decent, etc.). I can't think of ONE thing I like here.
But I figure if I'm going to leave this company, I don't want to keep going sideways. Before, I was just trying to find somewhere to rack up some experience at, ride out my first year. I found May Trucking and I stayed for over a year. Now, I want trucking to start taking me somewhere in life that I want to go, because I'm getting bored and frustrated with it. I'm either going to do tanker (I didn't do it last time) or go to somewhere that will let me see Canada. And honestly, I'm leaning toward the latter. -
They don't look like they hire out of Denver, but I'll call on Monday. Thanks, though.

As Chinatown stated, Britton Transport does go to Canada. Our flatbed fleet does go to Canada. But our van/reefer fleet would probably allow you to go there more often or more consistently..I really enjoy working here. Driver cycles
Because the intent of the regulation is to limit the driving and on-duty time in a day, and to ensure drivers obtain enough rest, the regulations establish cycles that drivers must follow. Cycle 1 allows drivers to accumulate 70 hours of on-duty time over 7 days, while Cycle 2 allows drivers to accumulate 120 hours of on-duty time over 14 days. If a driver reaches the 70-hour or 120-hour limits, then he/she can reset the cycle by taking 36 hours or 72 hours of off-duty time, respectively. Drivers may also switch from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2 by taking 36 hours of off-duty time, or switch from Cycle 2 to Cycle 1 by taking 72 hours of off-duty time.

Wrong about the M&IE (Per Diem).. you keep track of your to/from days, full days for the year. 80% x 63 for full days, 80%(75%x63) for partial days... then using that you minus what they have taken out.. the difference is what you still claim.. -
Isn't there a company called C.A.T. Or C.A.M. That advertises Canada,U.S. And Mexico?
There was a company with yellow trucks and trailers that had a knight or something shooting an arrow on the side. I beleave they were called Roberts or something. But I haven't saw them in a while, haven't ran the road in years!
