Just got my new company truck, 2018 Volvo VNL 860. Looked a lot on you tube and they looked to be a really nice truck. I finally climb into mine and it is nothing like the one that Volvo is bragging about on all of their you tube videos, and I mean nothing. Where is my reclining 8 inch mattress? Where is my aircraft style window shades? I still have vinyl covers that you have to snap on and off. Where is the nice pull out tray and storage in the bunk? None of that is in my new supposed flagship 860. Infotainment center? Nope. The darn upper bunk doesn’t even fold up. I had to buy a fold up TV tray so I would have something flat to put my plate of food on. At least freightliner has a drawer that has a flat cover you can use as a table.

I guess they should have bought the globetrotter package. I tried to find one for sale but no one is advertising one. I’m guessing its in the $190,000.00 range and not too many of us will get to drive one.

Two of the four 12volt power points on the dash do not remain hot after you turn off the truck. The other two might but they don’t work so I cant swear to it. I leave the ignition in the acc position to charge my phone.

Does have a good sized fridge though. A light inside would have been a nice touch.

Had my first experience with a Jost fifth wheel hitch today too. Took awhile but I finally got the handle pulled out. Hoping it gets easier with practice.

The main selling point for me was the 4 air bag suspension ride. It does have that going for it. If not I would probably have been happier in one of the new Cascadias we got too.

Waiting for my maiden voyage, first trip is in the morning..

You're confusing the features and options of the VNL760 with the VNL860.

The 860 has the same features of its predecessor, the 780 and the 770, nothing has changed there.

The truck you're describing and driving is a 860.

The truck that has all the features that you described, but are not in your truck is a 760.

Put like 10,000 miles on it and I'll see if I can buy it used from your company for $20K less than they paid for it.
    Is it the 500HP one?

Yeah, was looking at them in Denver with another fella. Not sure why they didn't include some that stuff on the bigger one. Although I'm sure down the road those shades will start to rattle....

Very cheap interior, plastic sticking out, noise, block heater, mirror and window blocks problems, clusters, coolant leaks
