Prime inc. Sick time.

Is that different from vacation pay or is it combined?

 

It's different. Vacation balance is also on your settlements. You accrue sick pay I think day 1 and mine is capped @ 48 hours. I don't think you start getting vacation time until 1 year.

 

I don't drivs for Prime and never heard of sick pay for otr companies, not saying it don't exist, just never heard of it. I was sick a few times under a load. Once, I had the flu so bad I was taken to the hospital cause I couldnt stop throwing up. Another time I had a stomach virus while under a load. The first load got repowered. The second I had an exfra day on the load so had the time not to move for a day.

Point is, talk to your dispatcher, tell them what is going on and you need a few extra days. They should work with ya.
