I'll let him tell the whole story but the short version is that he helped keep someone from losing it all.

They buckle because they don't do it right. You take down the headliner in the cab and install factory braces that prevent that. Apparently not a lot of people know about the braces.

That's what my buddy in Searcy says. A top notch Pete rebuilder. I'm still up in the air. I agree with @Hurricane69 build what I want. I really am not sure what I want at this point out of the 379. Other than a jaw droppin look/listen at that mo fo.
And still on the hunt for just the right 359 toy for my big motorpeterbilt_2005, 1951 ford, Hurricane69 and 9 others Thank this. -
Build the 359. No offense the 379 ain't got it.
Sorry I'm speaking my heart. You find a pretty 359 and make it worth staking Dry Dirt to, you run that name and those numbers proud.
Y'all wanna tell me pound sand go ahead. Mama Cried was sex on wheels. Big Mabel was/is the same.
Don't run a 379 you kinda like....when your hearts in a 359.
Sorry boss man bull hauler. I hear the sighs in your posts. Nothing can replace Mama Cried but the current ride ain't itwore out, 1951 ford, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this. -
I have one of the finest 359's you will ever see. I had 2. I own number 193 of the 87 numbered trucks but it's for my son. I will build another 59 but not for a daily driver. I agree a 379 isn't to participate with a 59. I lost one, gonna try not to loose 2 if that makes sense. Another thought is the 359 really started the hood era along with the W900A. For many it ended with the 379. Be nice to have both. Honestly I'm most comfortable in a 359. A year and 3 months later I'm still in a funk over the deal so1951 ford, Hurricane69, 4mer trucker and 11 others Thank this.

We were turning wrenches, my cousin and I when we hear screaming from little kids...
We look over to see 4 little boys in underwear with no shoes running in the snow crying their house is on fire.
The older guy beside my place goes running in, we followed with my truck extinguisher and got it out.
We ended up calling the fire Dept and they called state police because the living conditions were horrendous in that house and 4 kids were alone with none being older than 10...
When their dirtbag parents came home they just started hollering at the firemen so we walked back over to my house...
At least the firemen told us all thanks, the older guy whose my neighbor breathed alot of smoke to save their place.
The fire was caused by kids toys on the open burner of the stove, flames were 5 feet high off the stove.Keith Lindsay, 1951 ford, 4mer trucker and 14 others Thank this.
