Unless your just wanting to sight see in Canada, and eat Canadian bacon. I strongly recommend tankers, but on a local or regional level.

I thought tribe was this glorious chicken hauling company? I got two buddy's there and the love it, but they are O/O's. Sounds like your getting burned out. But look for opportunities with a quality company. And things should work out. I feel like working for an outfit with high turn over. Or no respect for drivers will never work out.

Remember Ms Brown asking about tankers (right before winter??).
Was talking to a driver once, who came down from Canada quite a bit. Could have been at any truck stop between Denver and Great Falls. Was yakking about how glad I was I had a decently weighted load going down 25. He remarked how his company had three semis (empty) blown over coming down from Cunuckistan. According to him that route (Canada into Montana) is worse than Wyoming in certain places. Remarked that his boss said no more empties would be sent down (maybe during a certain time of year?).
Just another thing to ask how your future company handles driving empty during the windy times if you go dry van/reefer.

    Good luck.

I was told you can't claim the difference. Either way it goes, it's my money. I don't like them forcing the per diem pay thing on you. It's not optional with this company, and I feel like it should be. Let me handle my own money.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know about that route being windy so I learned something new today.

For what it's worth I do exactly what he said. Claim the difference. Might be worth looking into because even at 10 cents per mile for me it's only about half of what I can clame as perdiem.

    Good luck with your search.
