Honestly? Probably eat the cost, get the load where it's going, and ameliorate the loss on several more loads for this customer before I cit ties with them, unless they remove their heads from their fourth point of contact. I'm not in business to screw the driver over. A load going sideways like that, and the customer effing me in the end leaves a bad taste im my mouth. You better be ###### sure I'm going to be charging premium rates, if I do business with them again.

I bet if you mentioned that it went sideways on a Landstar load, he was more than understanding.

As soon as I mentioned Landstar he groaned and didn't even ask for any details.

Landstar and/or TQL cause me the most advanced fall-offs, or foul-ups.

Surprisingly, I have not had any problems with TQL. I have even received better than average rates with them. Go figure.

I cringe when I get a load confirmation from landstar. They earned a spot on the no go list but somehow dispatch oops one or two through a year. Once a person realizes that anything on that board isn't worth a crap because if it was a BCO would have already taken it. I always feel exactly the same for any load brokered out by a large company with its own truck fleet.

Just another day at Landstar with over 40,000 loads of mind boggling premium freight.

Oh I had mine booked Friday. Out & back. Taking Dad to doctor tomorrow. Leaving Wednesday morning. Might make it back Saturday night, I think Sunday afternoon though. Multi stop around Phoenix for the load home. So be gone 3 days, net should be about $3600, and I can care for my Dad, and still pick and choose where I want to go.

    Just an awful company.
