Money?
Not with the pumpkin.
I have to wonder, if you were accustomed to 1600 a week or whatever it was, why did you move to Schinder to get as much as potentially?

It's applicable to a growing segment of our aging society who cannot live on social security alone, they have to go to work. My parents worked until the 80's in age. They finally had to stop.Toomanybikes, Oldironfan, Steel Dragon and 1 other person Thank this.

FWIW, I haul consumer goods and alcohol, day cab, dry van. Monday-Friday, day shift, home 4 out of 5 nights. $92K gross last year.

My favorite part about this post is the fact that the guy making it doesn't even realize why he makes what he makes. You make what you make because you're hauling high theft freight. There's an extra bonus on this job the 'definitely not a thief' bonus.
They don't want the driver to be pulling around 10 years of pay... so they pay him 92k a year so that he's only hauling around 5 years pay lol. You find someone honest and then you pay them extra just to make sure.
Keep your reputation up gentlemen and soon you'll be getting paid just to not steal. I get paid a ridiculous amount of money to not steal every year. It's wonderful. -
My money is on a new 50,000 dollar pick up truck,
Credit cards, and a overpriced house.
Keeping up with joneses.skinnytrucker Thanks this. -
My big question is why anyone who doesn't do hard physical labor would want to retire. It seems to me that retirement wasn't all it was cracked up to be for my grandparents generation, isn't being all it's cracked up to be for my parents generation, and when it comes to my turn I think I'll just keep working. Maybe not as hard, but I'm definitely not going to let myself stop feeling useful. People have a habit of dying when they do that.
