    I don't spend a dime at petro.
Park there at noon and leave by 10 pm.

Typically about 50% of the time I find myself parked within 3 to 6 spots of the paid parking spots.
I'll sleep wherever. It's nice if their is a bathroom and some coffee within walking distance. Walking distance for me anything under a mile.

Usually there's something around. I've done 34's in at some of our big customers where I drop & hook. The one has an abundance of stuff within about 1/2 mile or so radius. But I've crapped behind the trailers there.

    Safety first.

The Pilot in Dunnigan ( Done-in-again) is a perfect example of paid parking madness. It's quite a good Pilot actually, but they have at least a 1/3 or more is paid parking now. And it all never gets used, so dudes are parked everywhere. There's a guy reopening the stop across the overpass, I've slept there twice, it's bumpy dirt lot, pretty big too, but I've also bought my coffee and stuff there too.
    I'm not paying for parking.

bzinger, stayinback and Steel Dragon Thank this.

Farking knuckle heads could spend 3 or 4 U's a year on paid parking. And they wonder why people perceive them as stupid drivers.

So if you’re about out of hours and there’s no free spots left and all the spots beside the CAT scale and fire lane are full, where do you park? On the shoulder or on ramp?
And no more crapping behind the trailers or outside.

    driverdriver Thanks this.

I'm leaving in the morning with a JIT load, spent the last 20 minutes planning my trip and where I'm probably gonna shut down. Why isn't everyone doing the same?
