Hey guys just have a few questions for the owners out there. I was thinkin about starting my own business, my GF's mom owns a company that runs about 13 trucks and they seem to be doing pretty good financial wise. I would start with running 1 or 2 and expand ASAP if all was good. I have some money to get started and was wondering what kind of profits would i be able to yield on 1 truck at the end of a month?? Thanks!!

Or even get a CDL first and get a grasp on how the business works or you will get ripped off by everyone including the drivers, i cant find freight for my truck right now worth hauling. Does that tell ya anything?

Oh yeah, get a few more years under your belt, i thought i was king of the world at 18 too.

Don`t jump into your dream until you have a few years experience with trucking.Youshould learn all you can-not just the driving part, either.Logistics, maintenance and humanresources are all a big part of this business. It is not nearly as easy as it looks.

True, but he without a doubt is a few levels above the average newbie. College educated (not that a degree is everything, I have one and I'm on active duty with the Marine Corps), and definitely a huge package of common as well as business sense. PharmPhail is an exception to the rule.
